Raising a puppy can be a wonderful but challenging experience! This 7-week class (including a field trip on the last class) for puppies up to 5 months old at start of class, will provide you with tools and tricks to help you and your puppy learn and practice skill-building through fun games, navigate the challenges of puppyhood and manage the oftentimes conflicting needs of humans and canines. There's so much more to raising a puppy than sit and stay, but we will cover those, too!

NOTE: Orientation for both classes is without puppies from 5-6:30 PM at the PupStart Studio in North Yarmouth

What better venue than the PupStart Campus for a puppy class?

We are eager to share with you some of the valuable skills and cool tricks we have learned over the years through working with many hundreds of puppies. A small class size (max of 5 pups) will guarantee that you and your puppy will receive lots of individual training. We will be weaving training into fun and games.

What we will cover in class:

This is a foundations class that will provide you with a strong base from which you and your puppy can grow. We will be covering how dogs learn, how to establish good structure and practice good management skills so your pup doesn't form bad habits, discuss dog body language, learn to recognize and minimize potential problems and do all we can so that our pups are a joy to live with throughout their lives. We will be using the clicker as a powerful tool for training new behaviors. Handouts and video links will help you get the most out of this class.

Incorporating training games into day-to-day life is fun, effective and rewarding for everyone! Puppyhood is fleeting - cherish it!
